Pastor's Pre-Christmas Message
MERRY CHRISTMAS

Glory be to God for His mercies that are new every morning.
The return to normalcy presents challenges to all including
individuals, families’ organizations, and churches all over the world.
It’s in this vein that this year’s pre-Christmas convention is themed
"Wise Men still follow The Star"
The theme for this year’s pre-Christmas convention “The Wise still follow the Star” (Matthew 2:2) is very appropriate.
As we celebrate another Christmas season under these trying circumstances, we need wisdom from the Star to guide us through
our daily decision-making processes. We also need light from the Star to provide direction for us as individuals, families, community leaders, national leaders as well as church leaders in these turbulent times.
We need the wisdom to be able to distinguish between the true Star and the fake ones as there are many false stars out there ready to take advantage of the vulnerabilities of the flock. The birth of the Saviour of the world indeed brought good news not
only to the shepherds at that time but continues to do so to the wise of our day. However, it is sad to say that not many can be considered wise and do what is expected of the wise. Many have either become distracted or discouraged from doing what is
expected of the wise.
An important point to be made is this: There’s no birth with a worldwide influence as the birth of the baby in the manger.
There’s no place in this world where the influence of this Star is not felt during the Christmas season.
Christians and Non-Christians alike mark this birth with various commemorative decorations. As we celebrate yet another Christmas, let us use this time to reflect on our relationship with the Star by asking the following questions:

-
Will I be considered wise when I present myself before the Lord of Lords and the King of kings?
-
Am I keeping close to the Star or being alienated from Him?
-
Am I doing what the wise do?
