The Apostolic Church International – Canada Peel International Community Church (TACI –PICC) was established on 14th June 2017. This decision was arrived at by the Presbytery of the church under the Chairmanship of Apostle Dr. Kwabena Akufo who was the Supervising Apostle of the Canada Field at the time.

 

Pastor Rasper was directed to proceed with the new assembly with his family only. On June 11, 2017, the following were prayed for by Pastor Ofori and dispatched to the new assembly

INITIAL PLACE OF WORSHIP:

As part of the feasibility report presented by Pastor Rasper, the new assembly would share the premises of an existing church at 170 Wilkinson Road unit 6.

 

This place of worship was available to the group on Sundays afternoons only - from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm - and on Thursdays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

FIRST MEETING:

PICC held its first meeting at 170 Wilkinson Road # 6 on June 14th, 2017. It was a prayer meeting with 12 people in attendance.

FIRST SUNDAY MEETING:

The first Sunday meeting was on the 18th of June 2017, with 23 people in attendance.

CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION:

PICC has successfully registered with the Canada Revenue Agency as a charitable organization. This means your tithes and donations to the church may entitle you to a charitable contribution deduction against your income tax.

NEW PLACE OF WORSHIP:

A new place of worship was secured at 29 Strathearn Avenue Unit 3 in Brampton. The sanctuary was dedicated by Apostles Kissi (now General Secretary of the Church) and Ackah in August 2017.

PICC witnessed a record attendance at the ordination of Pastor Rasper during the 25th Anniversary celebration of the church in the USA on March 31st, 2018 at the beautiful Gaylord Resort Centre in Maryland.

FIRST ANNIVERSARY:

PICC marked its one year in June 2018.

 

The high point of the celebration was the delivery of the keynote address by Apostle Dr. Alex Ofosu (a former General Secretary of the church).

GROWTH OF PICC:

The Lord continued to add to the numbers and by the end of 2018, the membership was 57 comprising 9 men, 16 women, 16 youth, 10 pre-teens, and 6 toddlers.

​

PICC continued to witness record numbers joining to the extent that a second service became possible to cater for the needs of the International service which was headed by Brother Joshua and the Ghanaian service headed by Elder Akosa.

​

The total membership by the end of 2020 was 97.
